Facts about music part 1

Have you ever felt shivers when listening to your favourite song? If you are wondering, why they happen then keep on reading.

The first thing as I mentioned before are those strange chills you get. They are actually caused by dopamine release, what it means is that your brain can be easily manipulated by different sounds, which to me sounds crazy. Next, the author of the text mentioned about affection of speed and loudness of music on our heartbeat. Surprisingly, the more stimulating music you are listening to e.g. hardcore or rave music the faster your heart beats. Same with listening to more calm music, it automatically calms you down. Some scientist say that music can be as addictive as drugs. If you ever had this strange, unpleasant feeling when you couldn't listen to music, beacause you left your earphones at home, you're probably a "music junkie".

  1. I've also noticed they when I play music in the car while driving, I drive faster when the music is lively. The most relaxing car music I've listened to is reggae - the slow regular beat makes you immune to all irritating events on the road.
