Facts about music part 2

In this post I would like to continue my thoughts about music facts. What I've read is that treatment for diseases like depression, Alzheimer or Parkinson can be done using music, because of its past recalling and movement helping properties. A thing linked to this, is that it is a really great remedy for pain. Some doctors even prefer to use this  rather than traditional medicines, because it doesn't damage your immune system, liver etc. It is intensively used when using anesthesia drug. Next fact will be useful for people who don't like monotonny when working out. Motivating music in the background will increase your productivity, which results in more effective training.  Also a quick tip on learning better and faster- background music increases our ability to remember more images and words, so feel free to use it! The last thing is that listening to music has improving properties when interpreting neutral facial expression. To my surprise the theory of truly enjo...

Facts about music part 1

Have you ever felt shivers when listening to your favourite song? If you are wondering, why they happen then keep on reading. The first thing as I mentioned before are those strange chills you get. They are actually caused by dopamine release, what it means is that your brain can be easily manipulated by different sounds, which to me sounds crazy. Next, the author of the text mentioned about affection of speed and loudness of music on our heartbeat. Surprisingly, the more stimulating music you are listening to e.g. hardcore or rave music the faster your heart beats. Same with listening to more calm music, it automatically calms you down. Some scientist say that music can be as addictive as drugs. If you ever had this strange, unpleasant feeling when you couldn't listen to music, beacause you left your earphones at home, you're probably a "music junkie". i-Dosers

Ever since I remember, I have always been interested in strange effects of music on people. Lately when I was surfing the Internet, I came across youtube video called iDoser. I had no clue what was that, so I googled it. This is what I found out. I-Dosing leans on listening to two different sounds on each earphone, then our brain somehow converts this into one specific sound, which is simmilar to these two output. What it does to our body is that it binaural beats enter to our brain. It used to be very popular among teenagers, because of its drug simmilar feelings. That is the reason why some parents are concerned about their children listening to i-Dosers, some users say that is resembles the effects of drugs like marijuana  or even crack. Yet still,  some people use it as a background music when meditating or doing yoga. It tunes your brain to a more effective exercising, thinking, relaxing etc. Source: https://nobullying.com/i-doser/

White noise

Has anyone ever told you that it is easier for them to fall asleep when listening to sounds of rain? Well, it is scientifically approved that listening to repeating sounds brings on favorable atmosphere. But what caught my attention is a thing called "white noise", it was made in 100% by the computers. First things first, white noise is a sound, whose task is to drown out background sounds. More professionally described, it is a noise which has constant amplitude during the audible frequency range. If you are curious about its sound, just open the link that I used as my source, it is a 10 second audio. It resembles a TV or radio sough. One of the neuroscientist proved that even when we're asleep we hear sound, due to this, people who have problems with interrupting their sleep can solve their problem by playing white noise. That's on account of its masking properties, for example it can jam barking dog. Source: https://sleepjunkies.com/features/sleep-soundly-with-w...

Influence of classical music

As we all know classical music is one of the best known music type all over the world. Do you know someone who doesn't know about Mozart or Chopin? I don't think so. Anyway, going to the subject, I've already known that all kinds of music can boost your mood. But what I came across is that some scientists proved that classical music can lower your blood pressure or even make your IQ bigger. Unfortunately it is a short term effect, but it can be used as a brain warm up before doing something which needs abstract thinking. Despite that, majority of people don't think listening to some special tyle of music can magically boost your intelligence, in their opinion it is occured by placebo. But one is sure- if you feel anxious, listening to music that you like releases dopamine, which is in charge of stress reduce. What is unique is, that classical music has  calming properties, and one doctor said that it seems to clarify your mind. What caught my attention the most is one...

Can music make you more productive?

In todays post I would like to share with you the results of my resarch whether music has a good or bad influence on your productivity. What I came across is it can help you while doing repetetive tasks, because they don't absorb a lot of creativity. Some people consider it as a side effect of just being in a good mood on account of the positive influence of music that you enjoy. What also caught my attention is the fact that people, who work in a busy workplace, perform their work more effectively, while listening to music on a headphones. It is occurring due to, as I said before, creativity they boost through it. The author of this text sadly admits, that music disturbs you from a learning process, that is caused because our brain doesn't like any distraction whatsoever. Influence of music on your mood

Most people in the world identify with the music they listen to. On that account I came up with an idea to make a resarch whether it has any link to your mental state. This week I've read that studies made in United Kingdom and Finland have shown that majority of people who were even listening to sad music were in a better state of mind than people who didn't listen to any music. What also enchained my attention is the fact, that some people use music as a remedy for e.g. sadness after ending a relationship or a death of somebody they loved. The last interesting topic brought up in this article is that listening to upbeat music regularly can improve your mood in just two weeks. Thats it for today, thank you for your attention and stay tuned for the next post! Source: https://www.healthline.com/health-news/mental-listening-to-music-lifts-or-reinforces-mood-051713#1

What I'm going to write about

Hello everybody! This semester I've decided to write about different kinds of music and how they can affect your mood, conciousness, emotions etc. I would like to focus on less popular kinds of "music" such as i-Dosers, because they seem pretty interesting to me. Additionally I'd like to mention the use of music in several theraphies.
